About RushFinder

This is a global community for adventure sports enthusiasts to Create, Discuss, Plan, Share and Discover their next adventure. It is also a place where they Showcase their past adventures.
Anyone who is enthusiastic about adventure sports. From a rank beginner to seasoned professional. From not-for-profit organizations to commercial operators. The idea is to share and discover; learn and teach.
There are no charges or fees for using the website. But we urge you to use it responsibly and by being sensitive to other users.

About User Accounts

Explanation about the sections of the site

There are four main sections of the site:
  1. Profiles: Every user gets a free profile to share their interests and showcase their adventure sports history.
  2. TripLogs: A section for users to post details about their ongoing or past adventure trips.
  3. Events: Users can post adventure trip ideas here. They can be fixed departure trips of a commercial operator or they can be an exploratory proposal for a possible future trip. Or anything in between.
  4. Discussions: This section creates opportunities for adventurers to ask, learn, share and educate each other.
Every user gets a free profile to share their interests and showcase their adventure sports history.
Your profile page also contains your RushMap which displays the locations of all your adventure TripLogs and your home/office location (once you specifically add them).
Users can post future adventure trip ideas here. They can be fixed departure trips of a commercial operator or they can be an exploratory proposal for a possible future trip. Or anything in between.
A section for users to post details about their ongoing or past adventure trips. You can generate a TripMap by adding the exact locations.
This section creates opportunities for adventurers to ask, learn, share and educate each other.

About using the website

You need to be login to see the link.
Add a new TripLog. To edit a TripLog visit the page and click on the 'Edit' link on that page.
Add a new Discussion. Discussion topics cannot be edited.
Add a new Event. To edit an Event visit the page and click on the 'Edit' link on that page.
You can add a new comment to TripLogs, Events and Discussions. Just scroll to the bottom of the page. Comments cannot be edited.
Geo-location (Latitude and Longitude) can be added to Profiles, Events and TripLogs. Visit the page you wish to add a location to; if you are logged in as the owner of the record the add/manage location button will show on the page.
Images can be added to Events and TripLogs. Visit the page you wish to add images to; if you are logged in as the owner of the record the add/remove photos button will show on the page.
Routes (.gpx or .kml files) can be added to Events and TripLogs. Visit the page you wish to add a route to; if you are logged in as the owner of the record the Upload routes button will show on the page.
Only one route can be added to a TripLog or Event. Adding a second one replaces the previous one.
